Spring in Cedar Fort

Seriously, these 'kids' are so cute-just born Sunday morning! Their names are Sweetie and Spice. Nellie was traded for 2 goats, one of which was expecting twins. We invited ourselves to Grandma's house to visit, play with new baby animals, feed the horses, and eat chicken nuggets (not made from Grandma's chickens! LOL!). Stockton's friend, Daniel, joined us for a visit to the farm. I think there were no regrets.

Oh Sunshine, where art thou?

I know, we live in a desert. It snows every other day almost until school lets out. I'm not asking for much, just some warmth so I can finish yard work, take a walk to the park, and really have an excuse to shave my legs more than once a week. (Travis really appreciates that!) I am soooooooooooooooooo tired of snow! Never really liked it. I guess it's because my birthday is right smack in the middle of winter, and birthdays are supposed to be fun. I would much rather have warm toes than cold ones-it seems like my feet never warm up! Sorry for babbling.....I......want......more.......sunshine. That's all.

Here's what Travis does in the winter

As part of the 'year round yates', I had to tell everyone a little bit about what Travis likes to do in the winter time. He gathers a few buddies, brothers, outdoor "enthusiasts", and drives to an empty campground in Utah. Usually, it is in Southern Utah amid all of the sandstone and blue skies. He comes back cold, a little dirty, but grateful and his appreciation for our beautiful state is renewed. Why anyone would want to camp in 20 degrees, just blows my mind. I would much rather wait until it is sweltering hot outside and you get to follow a group of Europians around the park and on the trails! (BTW, the crack they are hiking through was 3 football fields long!)
